Restoration of a damaged sidewalk and drainage system affected by heavy winter rains, including new drainage, curbing, and traditional Portuguese pavement.
Explore the work from different angles.
1 / 10During Portugal's winter, intense rainfall is common. Because the original drainage system was poorly executed, water accumulated on the sidewalk, seeped into the base, and gradually damaged the pavement.
We corrected the water runoff system and built a new drainage network. Curbs were also installed to help contain and direct the water flow toward the drainage system. We then restored the sidewalk and laid a new surface in traditional Portuguese cobblestone.
A properly executed drainage system that not only improves the look of the space but also protects the sidewalk from damage caused by heavy rain.
