Ground works and a new concrete paver front yard for a traditional house in Cascais, with a rebuilt stone curb and a new rendered planter wall.
Explore the work from different angles.
1 / 7The front yard was bare, uneven soil with old stones and roots, sitting right on a narrow public street. The ground had to be dug out and levelled next to the house walls and an old tree without blocking access to neighbouring homes.
We excavated the area with a mini excavator, removed the old material and built a new block planter wall along the boundary. A compacted base and a levelled sand bed were laid, then grey concrete pavers were set in a running bond and cut to fit around the stone bench and entrance. The street edge was finished with a reset natural stone curb, and the planter wall was rendered and painted white.
A clean, level and durable front yard that is easy to maintain, ready for parking or everyday use, and fits the classic look of the street.
